Protecting My Data (data protection)?

Dynatek Installations Limited are aware of the The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which came into effect in May 2018. We comply with its directives and aims.

Customers rights under this regulation are in the main as follows:


  1. a) access their data at any time, free of charge;
  2. b) know why their data is being used;
  3. c) remove their data and permanently delete it;
  4. d) transfer their data to another provider;
  5. e) be informed that their data is being collected;
  6. f) amend/correct their personal data;
  7. g) restrict what their data is used for;
  8. h) be notified within 72 hours if a data breach occurs.

We only aim to keep information relevant to providing our services and we DO NOT SHARE any customer information with third parties of any description.

In the main we use customer addresses and contact details to enable service provision. We sometimes receive customer project details from 3rd party vendors for the purposes of project management. All hardcopy documents used on a given project are left at the customers premises after completion of the project.

We hold invoicing / financial  information for the purposes of billing for services provided such information is restricted to commercial software (i.e accountancy systems) which are protected by industry standard protocols. We do not retain any hardcopy financial information at our premises.

Data retention: data is only held for the period of any project until successful conclusion and to cover any warranty periods thereafter. The company regularly purges (deletes data) in line with this retention need. Archived data supporting warranty issues is stored on a standalone password protected storage device which is not connected to the  internet.
